Hand Grater Red

Despite its unusual looks, this is an excellent grater. We were impressed by how efficiently it grates fresh ginger, which typically clogs grater blades and requires effort to gather up the grated bits. It performs equally well for grating chocolate, citrus peel and hard cheeses such as parmesan.

It has dozens of holes rimmed with small, sharp teeth for producing fine shavings and permits grating foods from any direction. You can hold the tool over a container to catch the tiny shreds or brace it against a work surface; the straight bevelled edge lets you easily scrape the grated ingredients together.

Made of tough ABS plastic, it is 7 1/2" long by 4 1/2" wide and thin enough to store easily in a drawer. Dishwasher safe. Various colors, depending on supply.
